the university of pretoria is a leading, research-intensive institution in africa, internationally recognised for its excellence, relevance, and impact. the university is committed to developing people, advancing knowledge, and contributing to sustainable and meaningful change both locally and globally. in support of its people-centred approach and commitment to employee well-being, the university of pretoria invites suitably qualified service providers to submit proposals for a broker and administrator of a comprehensive, cost-effective, and reliable group funeral scheme. the scheme will provide cover for the extended family members of university employees and must comply with the provisions of the long-term insurance act (act no. 52 of 1998) and all applicable regulatory requirements. the appointed service provider will be responsible for delivering efficient and brokerage and compliant administrative services in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the tender documentation. this procurement process will be conducted in line with the university's governance framework and the requirements specified in the official tender documents. this scheme will be voluntary and fully employee-funded. the university of pretoria will not subsidise the scheme and will not assume any financial, underwriting, or insurance risk in relation to the benefits provided.
